This website was created in response to interest from collaborators and community members who asked how they might support KISAN’s work. We’re exploring ways to channel voluntary contributions through CEDAR-Himalaya, ensuring full transparency and zero organizational overhead.
KISAN is not a fundraising initiative, nor a registered NGO. It is a network of scientists, stewards, and learners committed to serving—freely, relationally, and with care.
Our work sits at the interface of science and society—where ecological knowledge, lived experience, and collaborative inquiry meet. We believe that research should not only generate insight but also deepen relationships and support collective action. KISAN is a space where science is practiced in dialogue with communities, and where service is a form of scholarship.
